Summary

Niantic is working hard on its new title, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite - the sequel to the highly successful AR game Pokémon GO, which broke records in the summer of 2016 and lured millions of people onto the streets with its smartphone and power bank.

The world of Harry, Ron and Hermione is so magical and so versatile that the material is sufficient for numerous games, fan articles and spin-offs. That's what the Pokémon GO developer Niantic thought, and has teamed up with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and WB Games San Francisco to create a Harry Potter AR world. That the AR game will be as successful as Pokémon GO is almost certain. The fan base around the magical events in and around Hogwarts is at least as big. In the past two years, smartphone technology has also evolved considerably in AR, and Niantic has learned from the mistakes of Pokémon GO. So the title is promising. The first trailer for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery unfortunately shows nothing about the app. The game principle is still secret and fans have to wait until 2019 until the beta starts.

How We Check

The server status is checked every 60 seconds from three different locations in Europe (Frankfurt, Germany), America (Oregon, USA) and Asia (Tokyo, Japan) to ensure the highest possible accuracy. I am planning to expand to other locations. When the server is not responding to the majority of locations within ten seconds, it is declared as offline.
All servers are hosted on the Google Cloud Platform!
